Superintendent Dalton Summers was recognized for his service as the 2022-23 CORAS president at the June 6th CORAS meeting held in Zanesville. Summers, the superintendent of the Ohio Valley ESC and former superintendent of River View Local Schools, has served in various leadership roles in CORAS, BASA and served on several Department of Education committees. Most notedly, Summers was a critical voice in representing SE Ohio on the Fair School Funding Committee. Summers is being succeeded as president by Monte Bainter, superintendent of Logan Hocking Schools.
